The FX chain on this lead synth melody

Can anyone help me to get close to the FX chain on this lead synth melody? Here is the track:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJwGjHqGLmU

I'm open to any suggestions even if they seem like a different approach to what it sounds like to me.

To me, it sounds like the track is run through twice. There are 2 different speed but very short delays, there is a reverb, and there is possibly a reversed gate. But certainly there's some sort of gate shutting it down quickly as it trails behind the melody, seemingly at only certain intervals of a second or 2 between each reaction. Can anyone tell me what was used, or get me close to it? Thanks.

I think yer correct about the double track. They seem to have added a volume modulator timed to the music... prolly triggered by the drums... just a guess really!
