Cool Free VST Plugins Thread!

I was doing a web search for VST plugins and I came up with this after Old Goat mentioned a Kajerhus compressor in another thread. so I did a websearch for Kajerhus compressor.
anyway it turns out this site is loaded with free VST Plugin downloads!
I thought this might help some of the nOOb's like me:P
>Click Here For Cool Free VST Downloads!<

the easiest way I have found to add VST DLL files to to your KAE is to...
1: after downloading file unzip it then highlight the location of the file and copy the file location and file name
2: click on Engine,
3:click on Prefrences
4: click VST effects
5: click select
6: paste the DLL file location in the text bar
7: click OK
Its done.
then when you go to your mixer the effect will be in the listing.
another tip or trick for managing Plug in dll files
thisis something else I started doing with my dll files...
as soon as I download and unzip a file I open a word document and copy and paste the location of the file in a Word doccument named (Krystal VST Plugin dll Files); that way I don't have to try to find the file when I need a different plug in and that way the file location don't get lost.

Then when I need a plugin all I have to do is copy what I need from the word doc and paste.
Have fun!

SSL, who do the free LMC Compressor also have a new free Inter Sampling Meter which I can't get to work yet!! If anyone can help me there.....;)
They have just sent me an email about their new Drumstrip Tool which looks costly but I have entered their random free giveaway.

Thanks again Smurf, I have updated a few of the versions of these now.
I was surfing and found a new page (to me) called Obertone Audio. I was after an Aural Exciter to play with and found a free one here. They also have a page of samples you can download for free.

Gotta love Elgoxa. I have had a play with their X-Cita before and the ELOTTRONIX is fun.
Just trying out different things between Challenges.
I thought i might try out some VSTi's through Synthfont and the Fretted Synth Audio triggered synths, to see what weird & wonderful noises I can make with my bass.
Will let you know how I go.

This one may be useful in working out beats per minute. but you have to tap the tempo yourself.
May be more useful when starting a new song??
Anyway, Tempo Tapper

Freeamp is good when you have a guitar like mine. I have used it on all of my songs that have guitar.
It is just like a series of stompboxes. Be sure to download the pre-sets as well.
You should try running your fiddle through it.:)
Also try the above mentioned LFX-1310.

Well, after 4 hours with the demo of the MDrummer S program I can see that it is no EZ Drummer! All tho it is nice, and the flexibility is fantastic, the sounds are too processed for me......pretty "drum machine" like as compared to Natural. :(

But it IS a good program, and well worth the 238mb download. You can create a seemingly endless variety of beats, and the demo is also a Stand Alone program, which means you don't have to have a Host program to run it...nice!:)

Give the Videos on the site a viewing and see what you think. The sounds you hear are what you get in the download, so I am sure it will fit some folks needs well.;)

And that's my nickel worth's of thoughts on it!

Love that site Bri. Thanks for reminding me.

If anyone is interested in a free album download by Paul Starling just go to his blogspot and follow the link.

He is a nice young man in California trying to make a name for himself and I really like his easy-going, harmony laden songs.
