Kristal program download

Hello all,

a friend has highly recommended this program to me but i cannot find it anywhere as the , except CNET but as with other links, you get taken to third party websites that my Norton Antivirus product is warning me adds all sorts of nasties. (not just norton, but the user reviews from that website when you do a safe/web search)

I am running windows 8 so may not be able to Download anyway, but well up for trying with a safe link

Many Thanks

Hi curiousity23,
check your U2U for a link.
Also, have you had a look at Studio One Free version?
Cheers,
Bob

You're welcome. Just ask if you have any questions.
Also, read the manual and use the search on this site. A lot of good info has been accumulated here over the years.

It seems that CNET is the only way these days. Don't worry, you don't have to download all the other crap it tries to get you to download - you can decline this during the setup process.

I have downloaded Studio One myself, but have struggled with it. Plus the inability to use 3rd party VSTs on the free version is a bit of a drag.

I also find StudioOne a bit too busy for my needs, which is why I stll use Kristal - it's so simple it's great! I try to process my signal OTB as much as possible, and I simply want my DAW to capture it. Heck, even click tracks erk me. All those bells, whistles & menus only clutter my brain with signal flow file chasing mess to the point that once I get a tweak in place I've lost my vibe. I'll never give up on Kristal...the reasons are clear.
